Roca, ante los riesgos de algunos conflictos fronterizos, \u00e9ste, con buena previsi\u00f3n, encomend\u00f3 al Gral. Pablo Ricchieri, que viajara a Alemania y adquiriera 40.000 fusiles M\u00e1user para equipar convenientemente al ej\u00e9rcito. El general Ricchieri formaliz\u00f3 r\u00e1pidamente la compra de los m\u00e1useres con las f\u00e1bricas alemanas. En la entrevista final, se le acerc\u00f3 un representante de los fabricantes, quien le present\u00f3 un sobre y le expres\u00f3:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">&#8211; General, los fabricantes me han encomendado que le entregara este sobre con el importe de la \u201ccomisi\u00f3n\u201d que le corresponde por su intervenci\u00f3n. Ricchieri abri\u00f3 el sobre y encontr\u00f3 un cheque de un considerable monto.
